Community Restaurant in Zeeland

My family frequented Community Restaurant when I was a child. Even though I never left the area, I never went to Community on my own as an adult. My wife and I recently decided to reminisce our childhood by having a meal there. I must say it was good. I forgot how good their home made soups are. They also make their Pies from scratch. Not all of their foods are from scratch, but there is a fair amount on their menu that is. Community is not a place you go for a special meal or a nice meal out for a better than regular occasion. But, if you need a good meal for a fair price, with good service in a clean establishment, Community is a great place to do that! Its also a good lunch spot and I hear their breakfast is descent as well.

This restaurant was very clean. The highchairs were above my expectations for a restaurant! The food was delicious tasting and fairly priced. Kids meal was only $3.99 and my daughter got alot of food. You should definitely eat here!

Yesterday was my first time going there and needless to say I was very disappointed. My mom's chili was cold and had no flavor and that's after she had to wait for another 7 minutes for her to actually receive her chili after my daughter and I were served our food. My daughter who absolutely loves peaches says that they tasted funny and didn't want anymore. My buffalo chicken wrap was more tomato than anything else. Needless to say I probably will not be coming back anytime soon which is disappointing since my daughter loves going there. The waitress was extremely nice though and worked hard and she is the reason why I gave this two stars.

I personally would go here like everyday! Great food! Awesome waitresses! Very funny and out going. They do only except cash, but it's totally worth going and getting some money out of the ATM for. Smiling waitresses who keep smiling even when they have to work with their not so nice boss. Fries are to die for! And their shrimp is the best! Also all you can eat white fish on Fridays! Yummmmn

The food was priced well and good. The staff was great. It is an older crowd. I would say 60+ for most patrons. The food was only good though. Nothing that would draw us back in.

Feels like you're at a family reunion - very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. This is what I would call a small town gem. Try out the Community Burger for a unique twist on an American classic!

Been going there for 30 years for breakfast with a friend. Best bacon anywhere.

It's pretty good. Nothing fancy but gets the job done.

Awesome food and staff! Who cares they only take cash? It is well worth it. Huge portions especially desserts lol. Prices great!

The chicken salad and coconut cream pie cant be beat.

I really like Community Restaurant, and the person in my group who was there for the first time was REALLY impressed with the food and the service! I really hope it doesn't close - Community is a Zeeland icon, and to lose it would be a great shame for the city, especially since there are few restaurants on the east side anymore.

The food and the service are awsome and the  waiters/ waitresses are very  kind and friendly.  This is a great spot to sit and hangout or to get together with family and friends to eat a meal and chat.

Some of the most lack luster food I've ever eaten. Had the bourbon burger and it just wasn't enough burger. It tasted ok but was mostly bread. The fries were good. My friend got the meat loaf and I tried it. The taste was about right but the texture was all wrong. I don't know if it was too fatty or what but it was kind of gelatinous

Community Restaurant is a nice small town, family-owned breakfast place that we frequent on the weekends.

Food was delicious. The server never brought my husband his salad. And took our soda glasses away and didn't even ask if we wanted a refill. Very young waitress. Food was good though.

Nice little family restaurant way better than the other places in Zeeland. It was the first time that I had been there in years and they have definitely improved. It is going to be my new go to place in Zeeland Defiantly better than the farmhouse.

Its ok. It has a dated look and feel, but overall relaxed atmosphere. You can tell locals frequent, and is a part of the community. Besides the atmosphere the staff are nice are serve quickly with great respect. Food was decent. It didnt have a from scratch taste, but was good. The french fries were awesome. I believe the place could have some hidden gems on the menu, but youd have to frequent to see if that is so. For a casual place to eat, it hits the mark.

Food was fabulous. Super friendly with great service. A great "local diner" type of restaurant.

We had lunch on this particular day. The server had a great disposition and was very helpful. The food came quickly and things were prepared as we asked.I would recommend that you give it a try. If you go for lunch, save me a seat. I'll be back.
